With autumn already underway comes new movies to watch out for as the weather gets colder and staying indoors seems like a much warmer idea.
Here are the movies that will be out during the next few weeks:
“Joker,” Oct. 4, R, Drama/Thriller – The story of how The Joker came to be, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Robert De Niro
“Parasite,” Oct. 11, R, Drama/Mystery – A Korean film about two families in different wealth classes, winner of Palme d’Or at Cannes Film Festival.
“Gemini Man,” Oct. 11, PG-13, Drama/Thriller – An assassin tries to escape a younger clone of himself, starring Will Smith.
“Jexi,” Oct. 11, R, Comedy – A sentient virtual assistant helps get its owner’s life on track, but becomes jealous in doing so.
“The Addams Family,” Oct. 11, PG, Fantasy/Horror – An animated retelling of the original Addams Family.
“The King,” Oct. 11 (Netflix Nov. 1), R, Historic Drama – The story of King Henry V from Shakespeare’s “Henriad.”
“The Lighthouse,” Oct. 18, R, Drama/Thriller – Two lighthouse watchmen become trapped on a lighthouse in this psychological thriller, starring Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe.
“Jojo Rabbit,” Oct. 18, PG-13, Drama/Comedy – A boy in Nazi Germany copes with his situation through the help of his imaginary friend, Adolf Hitler. Winner of People’s Choice Award at Toronto International Film Festival.
“Maleficent: Mistress of Evil,” Oct. 18, PG, Fantasy/Action – Sequel to “Maleficent” (2014), starring Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning.
“Zombieland: Double Tap,” Oct. 18, R, Zombie/Action – Sequel to “Zombieland” (2009), starring Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, and Woody Harrelson.
