The season is beginning to change, the leaves are beginning to change their colors and with that comes cooler temperatures which I am sure everyone is excited for!
One of my favorite ways to take in a nice crisp autumn day is with a sweater and scarf on, walking in my downtown with a hot apple cider in my hand while the crisp air whisps in the wind.
My favorite recipe comes from addapinch.com. It is a recipe for caramel apple hot cider.
What you will need is 1 ½ cups of apple cider, 1 ½ cups of caramel sauce and ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract.
You can make it in the slow cooker by putting the apple and caramel in a three-quart slow cooker and keep it on a slow setting, stir to combine well and cover to let cook for two to three hours until heated throughout. Then serve and enjoy!
The combination of the caramel and the vanilla extract create a very smooth and creamy warm feeling when you are enjoying the beverage.
Try it and see for yourself, enjoy a fall classic treat that is sure to lead us right into the start of autumn.
