I recently had the pleasure of attending the highly anticipated “The Hype 80’s Glam Concert” and I must say, it was the experience of a lifetime. As I stepped into the vibrant atmosphere of the Legacy Dinner Theater, I could feel the excitement and anticipation building up. The band members, Dugan, Scottie, JJ from LA, and Johnny Holiday, were already on stage, setting up their instruments and preparing for an unforgettable night.
Before the show began, I had the incredible opportunity to have a conversation with Dugan, one of the talented band members. He was not only musically gifted but also incredibly down-to-earth and friendly. We chatted about their influences, their journey as musicians, and the passion they bring to their performances. It was fascinating to hear about their dedication and love for the music they recreate from the iconic 80’s era.
As the lights dimmed and the crowd erupted in cheers, the band launched into their first song. From the very first note, it was evident that The Hype was here to deliver an extraordinary performance. The energy emanating from the stage was contagious, captivating the audience and transporting us back in time to the heyday of glam rock.
Throughout the concert, The Hype flawlessly played the five most popular songs from Motley Crue, Poison, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, and Aerosmith. Each song was performed with such precision and passion that it felt like the original artists themselves were on stage. The crowd sang along, their voices harmonizing with the band, creating an electric atmosphere that
resonated through the entire venue.
The concert was a visual spectacle as well. The stage was adorned with vibrant lights, and larger-than-life video screens, reminiscent of the iconic glam rock era. The band members’ chemistry and showmanship were undeniable, as they interacted effortlessly with each other and the audience. The combination of their incredible talent and the nostalgic ambiance made for an unforgettable show.
The venue was packed to capacity, and it was no surprise that The Hype had sold out
performance at Legacy. The band’s popularity as one of the best live acts in the industry were clearly well-deserved. It was evident that every attendee had been eagerly waiting for this night, and The Hype surpassed all expectations.
After the show, I had the privilege of meeting the band members. They were just as amazing offstage as they were on stage. They took the time to chat, joke around and connect with their fans. Their humility and genuine appreciation for their supporters were refreshing. It was clear that they valued their fans and understood the impact their music had on people’s lives.
And then I recently traveled to Minnesota to experience The Hype at the Bogart’s venue, and it exceeded all my expectations. The venue was incredible, boasting a bowling alley that added to the unique experience. I had the pleasure of chatting with Dugan and Holiday, who were both delightful individuals. Scottie and the band brought a light-hearted atmosphere, joking around with me and the lively crowd. Scottie’s kindness and humor made me laugh throughout the show. The intimate setting of the concert was perfect, allowing for a deeper connection between the band and the audience.
Furthermore, I had the privilege of conversing with Scottie, JJ, Dugan and Holiday after the show. We eagerly discussed the upcoming Stevens Point Block Party, a show that I am eagerly looking forward to experiencing. The band’s appreciation for my commitment in driving over three hours to watch them perform was humbling. I would also like to extend my gratitude to Chris from Bogart’s for his exceptional kindness and helpfulness in addressing all my inquiries. The venue itself was stunning, providing the perfect backdrop for the band’s amazing performance.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend experiencing The Hype 80’s Glam Concert at least once. Their stellar performances, infectious energy, and dedication to recreating the magic of the 80’s glam rock era make them a must-see act. Whether you are a die-hard fan of the genre or simply looking for a night of exhilarating live music, The Hype promises to deliver an unforgettable experience that will transport you back in time and leave you craving for more.
