Susanna Daniel, author of the acclaimed novel “Stiltsville,” will be the featured guest at the upcoming Madison College Writer’s Life Lecture Series on October 8, 2024. The one-hour event will take place at 3 p.m. at the college’s Truax Campus. The lecture will be hosted by L. David Hansen, a journalism and film instructor at the college. Daniel is known for her debut novel “Stiltsville” (2010), praised for its vivid depiction of life in Miami and the stilt houses in Biscayne Bay. “Stiltsville” was awarded the 2011 PEN/Bingham Prize for debut fiction. Daniel’s follow-up novel, “Sea Creatures” (2013), continued to explore the complexities of relationships. Event details:

The series offers a behind-the-scenes look at the lives and work of accomplished writers.
