The Technology Assistance Program is temporarily out of laptops, having already checked out an impressive 891 laptops, of which 716 were generic laptops, more than twice the number checked out last year.
At this time last year, only 412 computers were checked out despite starting one week earlier (Aug. 1).
The Technology Assistance Program has more computers coming, and they should be available by Aug. 31.
Laptops earmarked specifically for architecture, interior design, graphic design and photography programs are still available at the Truax Campus, as well as hotspots.
The program encourages all students needing a computer to submit a loan request promptly. Students can visit the front desks of any campus or the Technology Assistance Program webpage and utilize the request form under “How to Borrow Equipment.”
Submitting a loan request is essential because it allows the program to gauge the demand accurately and help them provide the necessary digital tools to every student who needs them.
