There are several upcoming events and events at Madison College celebrating Black History Month. These events are free and open to Madison College students. Featured this week are a “History of Braids” presentation on Feb. 8 in the Intercultural Exchange and an award-winning play, “The Meeting,” on Feb. 10 in Mitby Theater.
History of Braids
- Dive into the history of braids, an art form woven with cultural pride, resilience, and beauty in the Black community. Special Guest: Jeffrey Patterson – Madison College Instructor and Owner of JP Hair Design
