The Yahara Journal and the Black Student Union are co-hosting an open mic on Thursday, Feb. 22, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. in the Truax Studio Theater, Room A2031.
Poets, spoken word artists, creative writers and songwriters are welcome to share their work at the event. Just sign up to read when you arrive.
You can share your unique talents, inspire others and make your voice heard. There are no requirements to perform, and guests are always welcome.
If you are unable to attend in person, the event will be live streamed using this WebEx link.

- Poet and Educator Amie Whittemore will present on Tuesday, March 19, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. at the Truax campus. Room TBA.
- Slam Poetry Workshop / Presentation featuring Andre Bradford, a.k.a. S.C. Says (2022 Texas Grand Slam Champion) on April 11, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Truax Studio Theater.
