Madison College students can to study languages at UW Madison in their summer intensive programs, thanks to the college’s partnership with the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean Language Institute (MEDLI), Wisconsin Intensive Summer Language Institutes (WISLI) and a program called Passports.
Any UW Madison Summer Intensive Language program could count towards degree requirements and could also count as the study abroad equivalent for Madison College’s Interdisciplinary Global Studies Certificate, which is an excellent credential to add to your transcript!
UW has even created a scholarship called the Madison College Gateway scholarship, which provides full tuition for one of the following summer language programs at any level: Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and Turkish.
The scholarship application deadline is coming up soon. Contact Madison College instructor, Mary Haight, for more information about this opportunity for students at [email protected].
