NASA is a student club that celebrates indigeneity, works to educate the Madison College community about Indigenous culture and issues affecting Indigenous populations. The club provides its members with a social outlet; giving the students a sense of community. The club provides opportunities for students to develop leadership skills.
Who can join your club? The club is open to any Madison College student interested in learning about and being an supportive ally of the culture of Indigenous people.
When and where does the club meet? The club meets weekly on Wednesdays from 4 p.m.-5 p.m. in Truax Room C2402 unless otherwise noted.
What are some of the events and activities your club hosts throughout the year? Native November, Veterans Day Recognition, Indigenous Peoples Day, Fry Bread Taco Stand, assists with Annual Pow Wow, Social Gatherings.
Why should students join this club? If you are a student who identifies as Indigenous, you would have an opportunity to be around folks with shared experiences and identities. If you are non-Indigenous, joining the club provides opportunities to learn about the culture and be in solidarity. Any which way, we welcome all and are a fun group to be around!
