Two-time Austin Poetry Slam Champion and 2022 Texas Grand Slam Champion will be featured in events at the Truax and Goodman South Campus on Thursday, April 11. 

First, he will be part of an open mic sponsored by the Black Student Union and the Yahara Journal from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Truax Campus Studio Theater in Room A2031. 

In addition to a presentation by S. C. Says, students will be able to sign up to share their work at the open mic. 

Then, he will join in Capital Verses at the Goodman South Campus from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., where he will join several local poets to share their work.   

This event is part of Bloom: A Season of Poetry, a series of poetry events in early 2024 connecting and celebrating literary Wisconsin. The event is sponsored by Madison College and the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts & Letters.
