On March 18, the Madison College Athletic Hall of Fame inducted a five-member Class of 2023. One of those members is former student-athlete, longtime golf coach, and employee Bill Scheer.
Scheer has represented Madison College for more than four decades and counting. He is not only an accomplished former member of the golf team but was a coach for more than 13 years. He continues his dedication to the college, keeping scoreboard for home basketball games.
“Madison College has had an indelible effect on my life as a player, coach and mentor. It was an amazing privilege to work with so many great athletes, coaches, staff and administration. I thank all of them for how much they have enriched my life,” said Scheer.

Former student-athlete Hannah Grahn (women’s volleyball) was also recognized for the 2024 induction into the Region 4 Hall of Fame.
