The Madison College Bookstore would like to extend an invitation to come out and support the Madison College Marketplace Vendor Event on Thursday, April 18, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will be held at the Truax campus in the Café Mall.
It’s part of an effort to offer to the college and community diverse sets of experiences and products across a wide range of merchandise by featuring products from local minority, women, disabled, veteran and LGBT+ businesses to be sold in the Madison College Bookstore.
Our hope is to itemize products for sale in the bookstore, as we continue to build partnerships with these vendors as well as expand the existing product lines and attract new consumers to the bookstore.
Our goals are:
- Expand the existing product lines and attract new consumers to the Bookstore.
- Diversify products to draw in alternative consumer demographics to the Bookstore.
- Build partnerships and relationships with local diverse businesses and vendors.
- Enhance a sense of belonging and representation to our diverse students, faculty, and staff at the College.
The marketplace event will help us improve awareness of diversity and inclusion in the bookstore, promote diverse products to consumers and bring fresh ideas that can appeal to other demographics.
