Madison College’s search for a new president has been narrowed down to three finalists and is on track to be completed in late November or early December, according to District Board Chair Donald D. Dantzler Jr.
Three finalists were approved by the District Board during its meeting on Oct. 2. They were:
- Dr. Carlos O. Cortez, who most recently served as chancellor of the San Diego Community College District and was president of the San Diego College of Continuing Education.
- Dr. Muddassir Siddiqi, the vice chancellor of instructional innovation and digital strategy at the Houston Community College System and served as president of Central College within that system.
- Dr. Tia Robinson-Cooper, who served as chancellor for Ivy Tech Community College’s South Bend-Elkhart campus and was president of Contra Costa College in California.
All three will visit campus in the coming weeks for interviews and employee and student forums. All forums will be held in person only at the Truax Campus in room D1630.
