In the United States, voting is a fundamental right that allows every eligible individual to have a say in shaping our communities, cities and country. Through voting, every person has the power to make a difference and contribute to improving our nation. According to the Bipartisan Policy Center, roughly 244 million Americans will be eligible to vote in 2024. The 2020 election saw a record turnout of 66.6% of eligible voters. If turnout is that high again, more than 162 million ballots will be cast by November.
The voter registration deadline for the Nov. 5 election is Oct. 16
Madison College has made the voting process more accessible for its students by creating Madison College Turbo Vote, a customized voter registration site. Students, staff and faculty can register to vote, request an absentee ballot and find a polling place. They can sign up for reminders, voter registration and ballot return deadlines.
To register to vote (or to see if you’re already registered to vote), visit Madison College Turbo Vote.
In addition to seeing your registration status, you can also See What’s on Your Ballot and locate your polling place with Find My Polling Place.
