Students can apply for scholarships from many groups such as Madison College Foundation, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and other external sources.
Series of workshops focusing on the different scholarship application opportunities are being offered through Nov 11. All events are posted on WolfPack Connect, search “scholarship.”
Each event has a different focus:
- Madison College Foundation scholarships for continuing students.
- Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society scholarships for students transferring next fall. Open to BOTH PTK members and non-members.
- External scholarship opportunities such as the Jack Kent Cooke University Transfer scholarship providing up to $55,000 for transfer for 3 years.
Writing focused workshops will be offered by Writing Center staff and Madison College retiree Susana Valtierra. Valtierra is a writing coach with a PROVEN RECORD of success. Her workshops will share secrets to writing winning scholarship essays. Get tips, advice, and suggestions on how to submit a competitive scholarship or college application.
Valtierra has coached numerous Madison College students to win thousands of dollars in scholarships. With a proven track record of 6 Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship winners, $55,000 each from Madison College, her expertise will guide you down that winning path.
