In-person voting is on Monday, Nov. 5. Make sure you can find your polling location, know what is on your ballot and find registration information for in-person voting.
Madison College has made the voting process more accessible for its students by creating Madison College Turbo Vote, a customized voter registration site at https://madisoncollege.turbovote.org/.
Students, staff and faculty can request an absentee ballot and find a polling place. They can also sign up for reminders, future voter registration, and ballot return deadlines.
To register to vote (or to see if you’re already registered to vote), visit Madison College Turbo Vote.
Did you miss the voter registration deadline (Oct. 16)?
There’s some good news if you miss the deadline. Wisconsin offers same-day registration for voters at the polls.
If you plan to do same day registration, you must bring an acceptable form of ID. An in-state driver’s license or state-issued ID is ideal. The state also accepts student IDs as valid forms of voter identification as long as the student ID:
- Was issued by a Wisconsin-accredited university or college
- Shows your name, photo and signature.
- Shows the date of issuance and expiration date.
- And is current or expire no more than two years from the issue date. If the ID has expired, you must also prove your current enrollment.
If you don’t have one of those, bring whatever photo ID you have and an official document showing your name and address. Those include bank statements, utility bills, paychecks, campus tuition bills or any government document that shows your name and address.

Early in-person voting
You can vote early in person starting on Oct. 22, 2024. To vote this way, go to the clerk’s office and request, fill out, and then return an absentee ballot directly to the clerk. Search for your municipal clerk at https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/My-Municipal-Clerk.
