Madison College’s Performing Arts Leadership Team is planning two military-themed staged readings in honor of Veteran’s Day. Both events are free and open to the public and will be held in the Truax Studio Theater, Room A2031.

In “Journey’s End,” a new recruit reports for duty to serve in World War II under the command of his childhood hero. He is shocked to see how war has changed his friend.
The second reading will be “Grounded” by George Brant on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. The reading will be directed by Karen Saari
In “Grounded,” an unexpected pregnancy ends an ace fighter pilot’s career in the sky. She is reassigned to a drone mission that takes an unexpected toll.
Audiences are invited to stay for a brief talkback following each staged reading.
