On Wednesday, Feb. 26, the Black Student Union and United Command Ground will present the second annual Soul Food Dinner and Family Friendly Event celebrating Black Excellence: Past, Present and Future. The event will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Truax Room D1630.
There will be games for all, including activities for children to enjoy, so student parents are encouraged to bring their children. There will also be an open mic for spoken word opportunity for anyone to come up and share. Dinner will be provided from Melly Mell’s Soul Food.
The event is free, but students are asked to register in advance and can bring up to three guests. Register online through WolfPack Connect at https://cglink.me/2uT/r378317.
The goal of the event is to come together as a community to support one another and honor Black History Month. This is an opportunity for members of the college community to connect, network and have a good old time.
The BSU and United Common Ground look forward to sharing a part of history with everybody and encourage anyone to share a story, poem or a picture of something they feel is important to them or depicts what this important month means to them.
