Jose Villarreal, a student in the Liberal Arts Transfer program, has been selected as the 2025 Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) Ambassador from Madison College.
Each of Wisconsin’s 16 technical colleges selects one student every year to participate in a leadership development and recognition program sponsored by Baird.
This week, he is participating in the leadership development program and will be recognized at the WTCS Ambassador Banquet, which will premiere on the WTCS YouTube Live Channel at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 10.
Throughout his year term as WTCS Ambassador, Villarreal aims to motivate and inspire potential students to attend Madison College while fostering an atmosphere of acceptance and camaraderie.
He plans to transfer to UW-Madison to complete his bachelor’s degree in biology. He currently works at Exact Sciences Corp. in Madison and aspires to enter an analytical lab, contributing to the development of early cancer diagnostics through research and development.
Born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin, Villarreal works full-time and is a member of the Madison College Student Senate. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his fiancé and their four-month-old daughter.
