In response to the various potential threats that exist in our modern world — ranging from natural disasters to health emergencies — the college has developed two emergency preparedness resources. There is now an emergency preparedness page on the student website and an emergency preparedness guide.
Emergency contact info as well as basic steps to take for some situations can be found on the new Emergency Preparedness page of our student website. Similar content is found on our public website on the Student Safety page.
Both pages include links to the second resource, our updated Emergency Preparedness Guide.
The Emergency Preparedness Guide offers more robust information, including:
- step-by-step instructions for handling various emergencies, including evacuations, medical emergencies, bomb threats, active shooter situations and more.
- protocols for assisting individuals with disabilities or medical conditions during evacuations or shelter-in-place scenarios.
- contact info for local and regional emergency and non-emergency services.
The guide’s content aligns with current best practices and emerging safety concerns. You are encouraged to review the guide regularly and familiarize yourself with the procedures. You are welcome to print the guide as well.
The guide can be found online by clicking this link
