Student Senate has openings

Student Senate has seven positions vacant this semes- ter. The Senate is looking for a new Vice President of Learning and six additional people to fill in vacant seats in the general assembly. Those interested are encouraged to check out the Student Senate website and attend gen- eral assembly meetings every Thursday at 5 p.m. in Truax Room 141A.

Volunteer Fair held Feb. 7-9

The Volunteer Center will be holding the Volunteer Fair from Feb. 7-9 across Madison College. The fair will be at West on Feb. 7 and at DTEC on Feb. 8-9. The fair will last from 11 AM – 1 PM each day. Over 30 Madison area volunteer agencies will be in attendance at these events in efforts to recruit Madison College students to participate in service opportunities during the spring semester.

Madden tourney in WolfPack Den

The Program and Activities Council and The Center for Student Life will host a Madden ’12 one-on-one ladder style tournament at 11 a.m. in the WolfPack Den. Buy-in is $3. The prize will be one-third of the total buy-in money. Prize money will be put on students’ OneCard.

Student artwork sought for show

The Yahara Journal will have student artwork displayed in display cases at Truax and DTEC from Feb. 3-27. Students can submit up to five items through Jan. 30 at either Truax 140 or DTEC 125. Artwork should be framed, mounted or otherwise ready for display. There will be a ‘best in show’ competition that has winners in categories such as painting, sculpture, digital illustration, hand-drawn illustration and other media. Prizewinners will receive $100 each.
