What’s happening?
Public Safety officers respond to many calls for service and we enjoy communicating our activities to the college community. Here are some of the notable incidents from this past month.
On Feb. 14, Public Safety officers responded to a medical emergency and rendered aid to a staff member suffering from a broken ankle. City of Madison paramedics responded and the subject was transported to a local hospital.
On Feb. 26, Public Safety Officers responded to a complaint of a disruptive student who was involved in a physical altercation involving a weapon with another student. Public Safety officers removed the subject and seized the weapon. Disciplinary action is being taken.
Campus Safety Tip
Public Safety would like to remind all students and staff to sign up for the WolfPack Alert. This is a free service and is the quickest and easiest way to get important information in times of emergency. Recent events on campus proved the Wolfpack Alert worked well to inform everyone of details of the event and we encourage everyone to sign up.
If you haven’t signed up please go to Madison College Public Safety’s webpage, http://madisoncollege.edu/safety, and follow the steps to sign up.
If you have any information regarding the above incidents or other campus safety concerns, please contact our department at (608) 245-2222; Public Safety officers are available 24/7.
