Public Safety Officers respond to many calls for service and we communicate our activities to the college community. Here are some of the notable incidents from this past month.
On July 25, an officer was approached at the Downtown Campus to assist with a physical altercation between two men by the steps of the Dayton Street side of the building. The Public Safety officer intervened and provided medical attention to the victim. Madison Police and Paramedics were contacted to assist with the investigation.
On July 26, at 11 p.m., a male and female suspect broke into the Truax Campus and attempted to remove the Park Bank ATM. Public Safety Officers observed the male suspect near the ATM and attempted to confront the suspect. Both the male and female suspect fled from the scene exiting the cafeteria doors. Madison Police were contacted to assist in the investigation. If you have any information regarding this case please contact Public Safety at 608-245-2222.
On Aug. 10, Officers responded to the South Campus for a report of a student who ripped a computer from a workstation and threw it on the ground. The student fled the scene prior to the arrival of the Officers and the computer was completely destroyed. Madison Police were contacted to assist with locating the suspect.
