Public Safety Officers respond to many calls for service and we communicate our activities to the college community. Here are some of the notable incidents from the past couple weeks:
On Oct. 6, Public Safety assisted the Madison Police and Madison Paramedics at the Downtown Campus for an intoxicated male subject who lost consciousness. The man refused paramedic services but was taken into custody by the Madison Police Department and transported to a local hospital.
On Oct. 9, Public Safety responded to a battery that occurred at the Downtown Campus. A male subject made continuous unwanted advancements toward a female subject and hit her in the head upon leaving campus. The suspect has been identified. If you witness or experience sexual harassment or any harassing behavior on campus, call Public Safety immediately.
On Oct. 11, a Public Safety Officer located a middle-aged female at the Truax campus in need of medical attention. The female had an injury to her face and was transported to a local hospital by Madison Paramedics.
On Oct. 13, Public Safety along with the Madison Police Department responded to criminal damage at the Foundation Centre parking lot. Multiple vehicles had their windows broken out. After a brief search, no suspects were located in the area. The Madison Police are currently investigating this incident.
