Stop the Bleed event
“Stop the Bleed” is an event to raise awareness of the students’ campaign to save lives that will take place Feb. 14 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Truax Cafeteria Mall.
The event is sponsored by Recreation Management, Public Safety and Student Health Education. Students will provide information on how bystanders can become equipped, empowered and trained to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.
Optical Dispensary to open
The Optometric Technician Program will begin the Optical Dispensary’s spring hours on Thursday, Feb. 7.
The dispensary will be open Thursdays, from 1 p.m. to 2:50 p.m. and Fridays, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The dispensary is located in the Truax Health Education building, Room 271.
Students, faculty and staff may order new glasses at the dispensary or have minor repairs and adjustments be made to existing glasses.

Join Okami Taiko
Okami Taiko is Madison College’s Japanese drumming club that practices taiko drumming from Okinawa, Japan. They perform on campus and around the Madison region. All are welcome to come try out taiko, and no musical experience is necessary.
Practices are held on Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Health Building, Bamboo Room 131, and Fridays from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Truax Building, Music Room A1033A
