Activities planned for National Library Week
Join the library staff for a celebration of National Library Week, April 8-14. The libraries will host these events:
• Caption Contest: Caption vintage photos from our DTEC Campus Library for the chance to win an Ultimate Ears Wonderboom Bluetooth speaker. Contest open to current students only. • Free Creative Activities: The Truax campus Creator Studio will host free Blackout Poetry all week. Other campus libraries will host pop-up creator studios with a variety of activities.
• Film Showing: “Monkey Business: The Adventures of Curious George’s Creator’s” will be shown Wednesday, April 10, at 3 p.m. in the Truax Library Commons.
Last Day to Vote for Distinguished Teacher
Every spring, the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society recognize a full, part-time, and regional faculty member that students select as the “Distinguished Teacher of the Year.”
The nominees for the 2019 Award can be found at the link below. Students may vote for 1 full-time, 1 part-time faculty member, and nominate a faculty member who teaches at any regional campus (Fort Atkinson, Portage, Reedsburg, and Watertown). The deadline for voting is Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at midnight.
