Has writing for the school paper ever crossed your mind? It definitely hadn’t crossed my mind until I stumbled right into to it.

I needed one more credit for this past fall semester. Searching through one-credit classes, I was fortunate to see a one-credit option in journalism. Journalism sounds cool, right?

I hadn’t realized upon making this selection that the majority of the course was in fact a practicum. It was a practicum, writing for The Clarion.

I thought then writing for the paper could be kind of cool. It wasn’t just kind of cool, it actually turned out to be really awesome and I came back to The Clarion for a second semester.

Writing for the paper is a great writing experience and learning about the whole journalism process is fascinating. Also, The Clarion staff getting together to address and report on what is going on around them creates a wonderful community right here on campus.
