Wow; it has been 13 issues since I last wrote to you all. I am glad to be back for the last issue of the 2013-2014 school year.
First and foremost, I would like to congratulate Natalie Connors, the newly elected Editor-In-Chief of The Clarion. It has been a joy to work with and get to know her over this last year. I am extremely confident that this paper couldn’t be left in more capable hands.
I never expected that my health would be my greatest obstacle. Strong support from amazing doctors, family members and friends helped guide me back to good health.
At the risk of sounding preachy, I strongly advise all members of the Madison College family to never overlook continuing health issues and to seek medical consultation as soon possible. Nothing is more important in life than your well-being.
Thank you to all the staff members, contributors, school administrators, our adviser Doug Kirchberg and all of our readers. I am very appreciative of all the well-wishers along this journey. It wasn’t ideal circumstances, but I’m very grateful for the strong team effort that kept everything running when my health was at its worst.
You guys are great, and I look forward to working with all returning contributors next school year.
Lastly, I’d like to congratulate this year’s graduates and wish everyone luck on their final exams. Have a wonderful summer!
