A heartfelt goodbye from the editor
May 7, 2020
As my time here has come to an end as the Editor in Chief of The Clarion, I would like to thank my advisor Doug Kirchberg for being a great role model and for being such a caring and humble human being. He has given me some amazing advice and has taught me so much. I would also like to thank my staff who have gone above and beyond this year. They truly worked so very hard through every situation and I am so proud of everything that have done.
I am truly grateful for this experience and for being able to be a part of this amazing group. I have been thinking a lot about this closing letter and it makes me sad that this has come to the end.
From writing articles to going to conferences, I am beyond grateful for the experiences that I have been given and all of the connections that I have made.
I have truly learned so much and have grown quite a bit as an individual. Learning to write, edit, communicate, handle difficult situations, manage time and stress, but most of all, working together and collaborating as a group.
Having been with this group for two years is going to be a very hard goodbye when the day comes. I am not going to lie, I dread the day I have to say goodbye.
I know each and every one of the staff members will go off and do amazing things and become even more amazing people. The potential that they all have is truly amazing and I hope for all of them that they succeed in everything that they put their hearts, souls, and minds into.
My next steps after graduation is working for WI Commercial Group which is a branch of Keller Williams Real Estate. There I will be doing photography, videography, and am the director of operations. I will continue living around the Madison area while continuing my freelance photography.
I’m excited for the real world but I will miss seeing all of the familiar faces and saying hello to everyone. Madison College has given me an unforgettable opportunity. I am blessed to have gotten to go to such an amazing school that has given me the best education.
