Never know how long an assignment will take you, that’s OK! Me too. You do not need to do an assignment in the suggested amount of time.
Educators give an average guess of how much time an assignment should take. Which is great and helpful but often causes miscalculated expectations. So, I found a solution, Toggl.
Toggl helps me develop an individualized approach to time management. I can self-assess, which is going to strengthen my future professional self.
Toggl is a free app you can access through an app store or in a browser at toggl.com. Toggl is self-explanatory, but anyone can find simple tutorials on YouTube.
Toggl will help you record each class and the time you spend on assignments. Then, you can analyze your efforts to improve your calendar and maximize efficiency in planning.
This is specifically helpful because I breeze through calculus but find history to be more time-consuming. Toggl lets me see how accurate educators’ suggested times are with respect to who I am as a learner.
The app was first suggested to me in Design Project Management to promote time management within the freelancing workflow. I am super grateful to my team of educators for providing a free way for me to better monetize my efforts.
I can see Toggl being extremely helpful with learning differences within small business settings and in academia to better know myself as a learner.
