A practice worth seeking and studying for one’s own betterment is an old Jewish mystic practice known as Kabbalah.
Kabbalah is a Jewish mystical discipline and thinking that explores God’s nature and the God’s relationship with the universe, and the meaning of the Torah.
This practice is all about taking a deep, inspective look one’s own soul and exploring the soul of humanity and even the cosmic reality of God and/or the universe and how everything is a ripple of effect of these relationships.
Kabbalah is non-Jewish dogma, and it is aimed for everyone to find their way to the God within us and many groups from Christians to Buddhists are known to mix into their personal faith.
Kabbalah encourages one to find balance in one’s life between working hard and enjoying day-to-day pleasures.
It seeks to help one be the best version of oneself while also living in the endless garden that is the human community. The whole point of this practice is to bring more love and light into the universe for oneself and all things.
A good YouTuber who has spent over a decade teaching this art of love and light is Rabbi Simon Jacobson.
The benefits Kabbalah has to offer both the individual and society are significant, such as how it encourages a middle path between all extremes from dogma and legalism to hedonism and narcissism. On the other hand, it encourages one to seek God in yourself and everyone, and that every life and every moment of life is sacred.
I think in a world filled with militant anarchy, mindless dogma and hive minds to the hatred we hold for anyone that disagrees with our own opinions, we could all use this practice now more than ever.
Take a deep, introspective look into your place in the universe and find balance
