WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
CHEYANNE JO UDELHOVEN
A freshman on the Madison College women’s basketball team, Cheyanne Jo Udelhoven is a 5-foot, 8-inch guard. She has started seven games this season, and averages 15 points a game. She has hit 19 of 47 three-point shots and has 31 rebounds, 13 assists and 17 steals. Udelhoven scored a season-high 21 points against McHenry County College on Nov. 1.
A three-sports athlete in high school, she was named first-team all conference in basketball as a sophomore, junior and senior. An undeclared major a Madison College, she is the daughter of Joe and Machelle Udelhoven.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
PAUL SCHMELZER III
A 6-foot, 2-inch guard-forward, Paul Schmelzer has started all eight games for the Madison College men’s basketball team. He is second on the team in scoring at 11 points a game. He has hit 16 of 38 shots from 3-point range and is shooting .534 overall from the field, converting on 31 of 58 shots. Schmelzer also has 16 rebounds, 15 assists and 11 steals. A two-sport athlete at Monona Grove High School, Schmelzer played both basketball and football. He is a liberal arts major and plans to transfer to UW-Madison to complete his degree. He is the son on Nancy Schmelzer.
