As many horror movie fans know, it can be difficult to find a great film. Whether they be must-see classics or just plain scary, here’s a list for your Halloween viewing.  

1. “The Silence of the Lambs”(1991)

“Jodie Foster stars as Clarice Starling, a top student at the FBI’s training academy. Jack Crawford (Scott Glenn) wants Clarice to interview Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins), a brilliant psychiatrist who is also a violent psychopath, serving life behind bars for various acts of murder and cannibalism. Crawford believes that Lecter may have insight into a case and that Starling, as an attractive young woman, may be just the bait to draw him out.”  

2. “The Evil Dead” (1981)

“Ashley “Ash” Williams (Bruce Campbell), his girlfriend and three pals hike into the woods to a cabin for a fun night away. There they find an old book, the Necronomicon, whose text reawakens the dead when it’s read aloud. Ash watches his friends become possessed, and must make a difficult decision before daybreak to save his own life in this, the first of Sam Raimi’s trilogy.”  

3. “It”(2017)

4. “Halloween” (1978)

“On a cold Halloween night in 1963, six year old Michael Myers brutally murdered his 17-year-old sister, Judith. He was sentenced and locked away for 15 years. But on October 30, 1978, while being transferred for a court date, a 21-year-old Michael Myers steals a car and escapes Smith’s Grove. He returns to his quiet hometown of Haddonfield, Illinois, where he looks for his next victims.” 

5. “Halloween” (2018)

6. “A Nightmare on Elm Street” (1984)

“In Wes Craven’s classic slasher film, several midwestern teenagers fall prey to Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund), a disfigured midnight mangler who preys on the teenagers in their dreams — which, in turn, kills them in reality. 7. “Carrie” (1976)

8. “Hereditary” (2018)

9. “The Ritual” (2017)

10. “The Visit” (2015)
