The Madison College men’s soccer team is proving to be a difficult team to score against this season. After seven matches, the team has allowed just four goals and has posted five shutouts, including the last four matches.
Stellar goalkeeping has led the way, anchored by freshman Victor Dalum.
Dalum has posted three consecutive shutouts, most recently to preserve a 0-0 tie against Rock Valley College on Sept. 18.
He is the fourth player in program history to record three straight shutouts. One more and he will tie the school record.
Against Rock Valley, Dalum was credited with four saves, increasing his season total to 22 in five games.
Madison College now stands at 4-2-1 overall. The next match will be on Sept. 25 at Kankakee Community College followed by a home match against Bryant and Stratton College on Oct. 2.
