In late September, the college solicited applications for Shared Governance Council membership for the 2024-25 and 2025-26 academic years. The council members are now seeking additional applicants through Nov. 22 as the initial timeframe for applications was short due to starting this process in fall, rather than spring for the start of a fall semester. You can apply online.
Who should apply?
The initially seeded council members are particularly seeking applications from full and part-time faculty, staff, and regional employees.
Why apply?
Involvement in Shared Governance provides you with new perspectives on student and college unit needs, supports your relationship-building across the college, and allows you to contribute to decisions to advance our Vision 2030 commitments.
What do councils do?
Shared Governance Councils identify issues to address, develop policy or plan recommendations for the College Assembly, and receive updates on issues related to the council’s work. Council work involves engaging with subject matter experts, students, and college community members to develop recommendations.
The councils are Academic; Facilities Planning and Investment; Finance; Information Technology; and Student Affairs.
